The Transport Squadron is the squadron that provides tactical transport aviation with the Tp84 (C-130 Hercules) both nationally and internationally. Our task is to transport materials and personnel, perform air supply, and tactical transport.

Job Responsibilities

The work mainly consists of maintaining and ensuring the availability of ground-based equipment at the company, such as aggregates and wheeled vehicles. The position involves practical work with inspections/repairs, direct contact with users and the workshop. You will also function in your role directly with aircraft maintenance during exercises and missions.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed GMU, GU or military service with satisfactory results
• Completed basic mechanic training within the Armed Forces. Alternatively, other technical education or competence acquired through work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B (not automatic)
• Swedish citizen
• Approved after special security screening/register check
• Approved according to the Armed Forces' physical standard FMFyss

• Work experience as a vehicle mechanic or technical maintenance otherwise.
• Experience working in the Armed Forces

Other Info

Being a continuously serving soldier (GSS/K) means you are a full-time employee. On average, you will work 40-hour work weeks, but the working hours may be irregularly scheduled depending on the needs of the operation. Standby and weekend duty may occur.

You are expected to develop your abilities as a soldier over time and defend Sweden's interests and our right to live as we choose.

• Employment type: GSS/K Fixed-term employment (max 8 years with the possibility of a 4-year extension) which begins with a 6-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the Armed Forces
